-
The competition is open to all interested
modelers.
-
Previous IPMS Regional or National winning
models may not enter the competition.
-
Entries will be judged on skill of
construction, accuracy and finish. Scratchbuilt detail will be favored
over commercially available detail if quality is comparable. A great
amount of added detail will NOT make up for a poorly constructed model.
-
If a model is qualified for more than one
category, the Registrars will decide in which category the model should
be entered. In the event of questionable placement, the Head Judges
decision is final.
-
A base and one figure will be allowed with
entries, however, they must not depict a scene. Under these rules, bases
and figures will not be judged as part of a non-diorama entry.
-
All dust covers must be removed prior to
judging.
-
Entry substantiation data can be placed
with an entry provided it is of reasonable size. If the realism is
subject to question, it is recommended that the entrant have reference
material on hand.
-
A “Conversion” entry must be a different
variant/model/mark than the one provided by a kit manufacturer. The
conversion work must be accomplished by the entrant. The use of
commercially available conversion kits or kit bashing will not be
considered conversion .
-
“Scratchbuilt” entries can use parts from
existing kits but their use should be unrelated to their original purpose,
except for wheels, tracks, guns, etc.
-
The Head Judge can, at his discretion,
split or combine categories prior to judging. “All Scales” And other
general categories may be split at show time, depending on turnout.
-
SWEEPS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
-
IPMS Dayton and Wright State University
assume no liability for any lost, stolen or damaged property.
-
First, Second and Third place plaques will
be awarded for each category
-
At the judge’s discretion, models will be
picked up to allow complete and accurate judging. Every effort will be
made to handle the models safely.
-
The judges’ decisions are final.
