Tips and Techniques

Ever wonder how a modeler achieved a certain effect, such as life-like weathering, highlighting panel lines, adding intricate detail, making decals appear painted on, simulating chipped paint, and the like?   As the wisest man of ancient days once said, "There is nothing new under the sun."  Well, that's most likely the case with great modeling techniques -- they are timeless, although sometimes forgotten then rediscovered.
